Know Your Lord: 2nd Edition
The title Know Your Lord cannot be understood without defining the scope of the terms involved. The guided way a person may acquire knowledge about Allah جل جلاله is through Revelation. No one can see Allah جل جلاله in this world, so knowledge of Him must come through Revelation, not perception. This statement automatically discounts divinity from objects and humans and brings us a big step closer to knowing our Lord through the pursuit of knowledge.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, ―Be informed that none of you can see Allah until you die. (Sahih Muslim)
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم made that statement in the context of warning us against the Anti-Christ (Al- Masih Ad-Dajjal) who will try to convince people that he is God. The point of the Prophet‘s صلى الله عليه وسلم warning is that if a person claims to be God in this life, then that person is automatically a liar. When one looks at the creation of Allah جل جلاله two conclusions are inescapable: there must be a Creator, and the attributes and qualities of the creation cannot be equal or like the Creator. This means that we cannot gain any knowledge about Allah and the reward that ensues from fidelity to that جل جلاله knowledge except through that which comes to us from Allah جل جلاله Himself through Revelation.
Go Back And Pray: For You Have Not Prayed
How many must hear the following statement upon ending their Salah?
Go back and Pray? For you have not prayed!!
Muslims can not undervalue the significance of the Salah since it is the first act Allah will question them about it on the day of Judgment, and the acceptance of other good deeds is contingent upon its approval.
Similar to Musa peace be upon him, Allah commanded him to establish the Salah under majestic circumstances,
“And I have chosen you, so listen to that which is inspired to you. Verily, I am Allah! There is none worthy of worship but I, so worship Me and offer prayer perfectly for My remembrance.” Quran (Taha 13-14)
Allah legislated the compulsory Salah upon the Muslim Ummah under majestic happenings above the seven heavens.
Al Hamdullillah! Many of you showed their fondness of our work, “Let’s pray the Prophet’s way.” Since the best age group to train to pray correctly is Muslim boys and girls who attend elementary school, we decided to introduce an abridged school edition of Let’s Pray the Prophet’s Way. We hope Islamic Schools can utilize it by including it as part of their Islamic Studies School curriculum.
The Seerah In a Contemporary Context – 2nd Edition
This book is the first in a three-volume series sharing stories of the lives of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and his Companions. The first goal of the series is to better understand the Prophet (PBUH) and his Companions by relating the stories in a contemporary context. The second goal is to clear up misunderstandings about both the religion and Muslims in today’s societies. This book, volume one, will cover the first 40 years of the Prophet’s (PBUH) life. The stories represent turning points in the lives of the Prophet (BPUH) and his Companions. They contain essential components that reveal the exceptional nature of these individuals. The reader also learns about significant developments in the society in which they all lived. At the end of this volume, revelation is imminent.
The Maqasidic Tafsir – Volume I (2nd Edition)
The Maqasidic Tafsir (Al-Tafsir Al-Maqasidi) concentrates on evaluating the higher objective (The Maqsad) of each chapter of the Qur’an methodologically. It then describes how each chapter’s contents reveal the harmony between the higher purpose and the means to achieve it.
The Maqasidic Tafsir is mainly a combination of both Evidence and Opinion-based Tafsir. It represents an exclusive Maqasidic (Higher Aim) approach to explain the Quran. In Tafsir’s available trends, the Maqasidic method has yet to be treated exclusively and has been subject to only partial and inclusive discussions.
After Allah established Islam on earth, and with the death of the prophet the revelation ceased. The early Muslims were able to reapply the Quran in their lives. Hence, they gained dominance and strength on earth, because they were able to read the Quran again in light of their present time.
The Maqasidic Tafsir – Volume II
The Maqasidic Tafsir (At-Tafsir Al-Maqasidi) concentrates on evaluating the higher objective (The Maqsid) of each chapter of the Quran methodologically. It then describes how each chapter’s contents reveal the harmony between the higher purpose and the means to achieve it. The Maqasidic Tafsir is mainly a combination of both evidence and opinion-based Tafsir. It represents an exclusive Maqasidic (Higher Aim) approach to explaining the Quran. In Tafsir’s available trends, the Maqasidic method has yet to be treated exclusively and has been subject to only partial and inclusive discussions. The early Muslims were able to reapply the Quran in their lives. Hence, they gained dominance and strength on earth, because they were able to read the Quran again in light of their present time. The time passed between the present, and the Revelation is significantly long. Hence, the process of reapplication took a backseat. Eventually, reapplication ceased to exist in the lives of the Muslims. There is a huge difference between the previous age and the modern age. In the modern age, the process of reapplication needs a different approach. The Maqasidic Tafsir, which is pursuing the higher aims of the Quranic script, is a means to recover this bond between the Muslims of today and the Quran. We must understand that each verse and chapter of the Quran has a Maqsid, which means an aim, purpose, objective, goal, and wisdom.
Refutation of Yasir Qadhi’s Grave Worship Blunder
A layman Muslim asked Yasir Qadhi: “What is the ruling on invoking the engraved saints (Awlyia)?”
Yasir Qadhi answered him publicly, saying, “…The second opinion is the opinion that invoking the saints (Awliya)… it is Haram (Unlawful), and it is evil, and evil innovation, a religions innovation, a Bid’ah, and it is a steppingstone to Shirk (Polytheism). It is opening the doors to Shirk (Polytheism). But it is not Shirk (Polytheism) in and of itself unless that action is accompanied by a belief that you are calling out to a god. I myself am an advocate of this second position.”
Yasir Qadhi’s answer is false, baseless, misleading, deceitful, tricky, and dishonest. However, the worst thing about his answer is the sad reality that as a graduate of the Islamic University of Madinah, he was matching the argument to justify idol worship like the pagan Arabs did during the Prophet’s (s.a.w) time.
The Pagan Arabs justified their idol worship saying, “We believe that Allah is the Creator, the Controller, the Provider, the Sustainer, the Giver of life and death, and the Source of every blessing.” Regardless, Allah (s.w.t) still classified them as Polytheists (Mushrikun) in the Quran, and the Prophet (s.a.w) challenged them on all fronts till they gave it up.
Lā ilāha illa Allāh: Worship Your Lord – 2nd Edition
When I wrote the first edition of this book, “Worship Your Lord,” which is the second book of the Right Belief Series, I indented to connect Volume I “Know Your Lord” with Volume II “Worship Your Lord.” I am simply saying the correct knowledge of Allah (s.w.t) must lead to worshipping Him. I also intend for the content to help the readers familiarize themselves with the different categories of Monotheism (Tawheed). I intend to simplify the subject of Monotheism (Tawheed), which can help advance the Call of Monotheism (Tawheed), especially for Muslims living in the West. Furthermore, this book will acquaint Muslims with the methodology of understanding of the faithful adherents (Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama’ah) to the Quran and the Prophetic Tradition (Sunnah).
Let’s pray the Prophet’s way – 2nd Edition
Al-Hamdullillah, Let’s Pray the Prophet’s Way was very well received by readers worldwide. Many brothers and sisters from around the globe wrote emails commenting on the efforts; We ask Allah (s.w.t) to accept our efforts. However, Allah (s.w.t) loves those when they do something that they perfect it to the best of their abilities. Hence, we decided to introduce a 2nd edition of the book.
The 2nd edition of Let’s Pray the Prophet’s Way provides an illustrated way of performing the five daily obligatory prayers (Salawaat) as well as the voluntary-regular and occasional prayers. Performing prayers sincerely for the sake of Allah (s.w.t) and in conformity with the Prophet’s Tradition (Sunnah) is a must to validate it and hope for Allah’s (s.w.t) acceptance.
We also updated the design of this book in a different way. We used multiple colors and fonts to place distinctions to the essential information in a sentence or a paragraph. Nevertheless, we did our very best to make the reader’s experience quite pleasant.
Let’s Pray the Prophet’s Way provides a comprehensive depiction of the way the Prophet (s.a.w) used to pray based on valid and adequate pieces of evidence from his Tradition (Sunnah). We thoroughly revised each prayer’s (Salah) element and updated chapters with new material as it was necessary. May Allah (s.w.t) succeed us in our efforts. Ameen
