Irish-American Abdur-Raheem McCarthy converted to Islam in 1994 and then went to Sudan to learn more about the religion. He continued his education by moving to Saudi Arabia to study Arabic, Tajweed, and the Qur’an. The Islamic University of Madinah then accepted him, and he enrolled in the Arabic Institute before graduating from the faculty of Da’wah and Usool Ad-Deen.
Since graduating in 2006, he has established himself as a well-known worldwide speaker, giving lectures at conferences and other events all around the world. He also serves as a presenter on channels like Peace TV and Huda TV. Abdur-Raheem McCarthy has experience teaching Islamic studies in Sudan and Dubai, as well as working with a number of well-known Da’wah organizations.
