Shaykh AbdulBary Yahya is regarded as the AlMaghrib faculty member who is the most relaxed and easygoing. He is renowned for his hilarious personal stories that he uses cunningly to teach and aid in the retention of Islamic concepts. He is frequently cited as the epitome of patience.
Shaykh Abdulbary, who was born in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, emigrated to the United States along with his family. He was raised in Seattle, Washington, and started attending the Islamic University of Madinah. He met Muhammad Alshareef at the university when they both had their first year of study and shared a seat. Abdul Bary Yahya returned to Vietnam and Cambodia after earning his degree from the College of Shariah at the Islamic University of Madinah. He then worked as a teacher and the director of the Umm al-Qura Charity Organization in Vietnam.
Currently, he serves as the imam of Seattle, Washington’s Masjid Jaamiul Muslimeen. Additionally, he serves as vice president of the Islamic Center of Washington State and president of the Cham Refugee Community.
